Piran, 31 August - At the 4th edition of the Museum in Short Awards the video installation Mondrian in New York received a special mention. An experienced jury reviewed 39 video projects related to museums.

Museums in Short is a contest for short videos produced by European museums. It is open to all different forms of videos: overall presentation of the institution or films used in permanent or temporary exhibitions. The contest is, amongst other institutes, promoted by the European Museum Academy.

Short films are a valuable instrument for disseminating museums’ contents in an engaging and direct way. Launched in 2012, Museums in Short aims at enhancing the public awareness of the museums' role in the innovative video production.

In the multimedia presentation at the New York room of the Mondriaanhuis Amersfoort visitors enter Mondrian’s dream world, in which his work, the city, and his favourite music all melt together into one audio-visual spectacle. A special soundtrack of the installation is composed by Ivo Witteveen of MOST.
