bring the battle of arnhem to life
in stunningly realistic designs
65 years after the greatest airborne landing operation in history, the Airborne Museum was in need of a facelift. Tinker was asked to bring the battle to life in a new 900-square metre basement area. The Airborne Experience has become a truly renewed experience that lives up to its name and reproduces the events as if you took part in them yourself. Like the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan, but in 3D.
Historic artillery, scenes of wreckage and overpowering images: a journey through the Airborne Experience is an experience that cannot be captured in words and pictures alone. All the senses are brought into action, and the sets are powerfully evocative. Visitors experience the battle subjectively; as a participant, as if they have been fighting for five days, as a memory. The historic material is mixed with special effects throughout, in order to achieve as realistic an experience as possible.
And the most important result: receiving the compliments of scores of veterans...
