a real dutch mega project
and everyone’s taking part
A mega project is taking place in the Netherlands, comparable in scale to the draining of the polders or the Delta Plan. The reconstruction of sandy areas in the south and east of the country is changing the landscape, the economy and the lives of residents in five provinces. Tinker’s task: make the rest of the country aware of the reconstruction, and create a positive perception of the process and the results.
The Reconstruction hasn’t been thought up by some famous engineer at his drawing board. It arose from and consists of thousands of initiatives that represented mega projects in their own right for those working on them and for the provinces where they are taking place. We’re telling the whole story during festivals, in the press, and on the campsites. With the help, amongst others, of mobile flocks of sheep, the Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, and the ‘Good Life’ in the new sandy areas. (ongoing project)
