a mind-blowing voyage
with plenty of things in common
Amsterdam's renewed maritime museum is a warehouse stacked with objects and stories. Sea Journey represents these objects and stories in a revolutionary way. During a 25-minute trip, the visitor gets to meet heroes, big and small. Step into their shoes and experience the pre-boarding stress or the deep silence of a starry night in the middle of the ocean. Experience the threat of war and the redemption of land in sight. In no fewer than five rooms and the museum's collection in the starring role, your senses will be stimulated in every imaginable way.
The Sea Voyage is not only an all-round experience; it's also differentiated storytelling based on the highlights of Dutch maritime history. Tinker had final responsibility for the experience component and co-developed the concept, collaborating with MET Studio London (design) and Hypsos (realisation and overall production). Tungsten provided the AV services, Dutch Igloo the Peppers Ghost, Leo Anemaat did the audio and Rapenburg light- and media control.
