It must be possible to stage it indoors as well as outdoors, as a part of larger events, such as the 50+ fair. The objective is to communicate the key messages of the Netherlands Heart Foundation in an inviting and elegant way. The messages are: ‘healthy living can be enjoyable’; ‘small improvements in your lifestyle are also worth a lot’ and ‘your condition is better than you think’.
A funfair consists of separate attractions that are typically staged both inside and outside. Funfairs also stand for public interaction and, well, fun. So a funfair is an appropriate metaphore for this travelling event. Each of the messages can be translated into a separate attraction.
A former fish and chip van is converted into a ‘wok wagon’. Delightful aromas draw the crowds to queue up for great-tasting and healthy snacks. The packaging includes a healthy recipe, and Heart Foundation brochures include more of them.
